Piatra-Neamţ is the capital city of Neamţ County, in the historical region of Moldavia, eastern Romania. It is also the capital of the Nord-Est development region, which consists of six counties; Bacău, Botoşani, Iaşi, Neamţ, Suceava, & Vaslui. Piatra Neamţ lies in the Bistriţa River Valley, surrounded by mountains. The city is located 350 km north of the capital city of Bucharest
